The best most memorable parts of the Superbowl are always the commercials and half time performances. Granted, I have been paying more attention to the games lately, and I do remember the last few winners. The highlight for me is always the commercials. Not the plays. And last nights game, while thrilling moved very slow to me. But the commercials kept me interested in watching. Here are 6 ads that I enjoyed watching most last night:
1. Lipton Brisk with Eminen
I liked the animated aspect of this commercial. I’d rank it as one of my favorites because I actually wanted to learn more about the product
after seeing it.
2. Doritos – The Best Part
This commercial was just flat out funny to me. I laughed out loud when I first watched
3. Mercedes Benz – Welcome
I liked how they featured classic Mercedes and the Janis Joplin, Mercedes Benz song. I liked seeing the product but I wasn’t too impressed that P.Diddy was in the commercial
4. NFL – American Family
I love how the NFL took clips from classic shows and pieced them together. In particular, I loved seeing some classic shows plus my favorites like Family Matters, 90210, Cheers, Full House, The Simpsons, Sesame Street, Modern Family, Alf and the South Park bit at the end.
5. Pepsi Max – Love Hurts
I thought this commercial was pretty cute. I wasn’t persuaded to buy Pepsi Max, but I did learn that it was zero calories from this commercial.
6. GM – Chevy Bumblebee
At first I thought this was a local commercial for a Chevy dealership, but I’m glad I didn’t turn away. I love the tie in with Transformers!
The 2 commercials I wasn’t a huge fan of were:
Skechers “Break Up to Shape Up” with Kim Kardashian – I thought the commercial was just ridiculous. Kim looked fantastic, as usual, but it feels like she will endorse anything. Do brands like to have spokespeople who will endorse everything out there? I’m not a fan of these shoes by any means and think they give people a false impression that they just need to wear them to get fit.
Go Daddy – New Go Daddy.Co Girl – This commercial was just dumb to me. I’m curious about the new .co urls, however, I thought having Joan Rivers was stupid.
