Last night I walked in on my mom watching this movie called Chloe on Lifetime.
{from Rotten Tomatoes}
I’ve heard about this movie, but never actually sat down to watch it until yesterday. I didn’t see the whole thing, mostly just the end so I won’t give a full review. That’s not fair. I will say, if you like American Beauty, Fatal Attraction and Poison Ivy this is a movie to see. Or see it if you are a fan of Julianne Moore, Liam Neeson or Amanda Seyfried. If not, don’t see it. More than the movie, there was something else on the screen that got my attention.

Throughout the movie new commercials played flashing Lifetime’s new logo. Simplified from their previous logo, it’s more modern and they even have a new tagline. When I think of Lifetime, I think of melodramatic movies some of which are based on Danielle Steel novels. The movies are never diverse. They usually feature affluent well to do families with issues of adultery, fraud, teen pregnancy and other melodramatics. Oh, and of course, Dance Moms. Apparently, Lifetime is trying to change that reputation by bringing on more celebrity produced shows and they aren’t specifically targeting women any more. See that new tagline “your life. your time”, it’s broad and applies to everyone. The tagline is kind of cheesy, but I like logo. It’s modern, fresh and makes Lifetime seem like more than just women’s movies.
Have you noticed their new logo?
