Happy National Drink Wine Day 😉

In celebration, I’m sharing a review of Spodee Wine. Have you heard of it?

Spodee comes in a milk bottle and dates back to the Depression era hooch with homemade country wines, spiked with backwoods liquor and garden herbs. It’s a grape wine with natural chocolate flavor. It’s 18% alcohol by volume (36 proof). So, a little bit goes a long way!

A week ago Spodee reached out to me to let me know that they are coming to the Atlanta market soon and offering me a bottle to try. I went to the website and instantly fell in love with the branding. Over the weekend, I mixed up a few different cocktails over the weekend and my favorite happened to be Spodee and soda.

I added:

1 part Spodee

1 part Club Soda

1 whole squeezed orange

I really enjoyed the taste of this drink. The Spodee has a great flavor and the soda gave it a few bubbles. The light hint of orange made it the perfect cocktail to relax with for the evening. I drank mine during a House of Cards season 2 mini marathon. The great thing about Spodee is that it isn’t too expensive. In fact, you can get a bottle online for $7.99. When the wine makes it’s debut in Atlanta I will definitely pick up a few for gifts 😉 I saved my bottle too because it was so cute. Perfect for a few flowers.
