I’m so excited that Christmas is almost here! From holiday parties to spending time with family, I’m excited to keep doing it all throughout the rest of this month. My birthday is immediately after Christmas. This means that I get many gifts that are designated Christmas/birthday gifts. The fairness of such gifts has been questioned all of my life. Birthdays from any other time of the year don’t get such gifts. As an adult, “fairness” is pretty obsolete in all aspects of life. I honestly appreciate anything that I receive during the holidays regardless of the “Christmas/birthday” label. I’ve thought about what I want, even bought myself a few items ( it will be my birthday ;)) but all in all, I haven’t made a serious list even in my personal journal. In the blog world, I’ve enjoyed reading items from everyone else so I decided why not make a post about it? Since it’s my birthday too, I decided to do 2 lists. Check back soon for Part 2!
1. Tory Burch Leather Reva Ballet Flats
{Tory Burch Reva Shop}
I’ve been working at Phipps Plaza for the holidays. I noticed these flats and love them. The flats are pretty neutral and can go with anything.
2. Subscription to AdAge
{via}
As a Cyber Monday special, I subscribed to AdAge. I consider it a career investment and something I’ve been eyeing for a long time. More than anything, I want to stay on top of advertising, marketing, social media trends across the world. AdAge helps me stay on top of my game. If you know of a professional in marketing, advertising or social media a subscription would make a great gift. The magazine is a wealth of information!
3. Movado Bold Rose Gold watch
{Movado Collection}
Rose gold is my new favorite thing. I love this unique shade of gold. I already have a rose gold amethyst ring and I think this watch would be a beautiful addition to that.
4. Help reaching my fundraising goal
I’m doing my first fundraising effort with Team in Training for a half marathon in April! Any donations that will help me reach my goal would make me happy 🙂 I’m just ramping up my fundraising, but I plan to do some cool things up until the race to raise the money. If you have ever done fundraising and have any advice feel free to leave me some suggestions in the comment section. I’d truly appreciate it!
5. Godiva Chocolate Covered Strawberries
{Available at Godiva Boutiques}
Whenever I pass the Godiva store in the mall I always want to stop and buy chocolate covered strawberries. Sadly, I can never convince myself to indulge. That’s the best gift right? Something you wouldn’t get for yourself but have always wanted? Are chocolate covered strawberries a romantic gift? Not sure, and I don’t really care if they I still want them just the same 😉
That’s it for now! What’s on your wish list this year? Have you ever given a Christmas/Birthday gift to a December birthday?
You can get #5 for free if you sign up for the Godiva Rewards Club: https://www.godiva.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-Godiva-Site/default/Account-Rewards
They give you a certificate for $10 to use during your birthday month. I used mine earlier this year to buy two strawberries. I would never get them otherwise, but they were soooo good.
