This week, I’ve been thinking about making some goals for the last half of the year. Over the weekend, I started thinking about doing a triathlon. Crazy idea for the following reasons:
– I don’t have a bike
– I’m nervous about swimming in open water
– Triathlons sound hard
But then a friend sent me information about an indoor tri! The race lasts for 75 minutes and includes:
10 minutes in the pool
10 minute transition
30 minutes on a spin bike
5 minute transition
20 minutes on the treadmill
Sounds laid back right? I don’t have to worry about not having a bike yet or swimming in open water either. I haven’t made a final decision yet but I’m definitely thinking about it seriously. The event is in October. I see this as a fun challenge and a great way to figure out if I want to do a larger triathlon in the future. I’m all for trying something new! I plan to make a final decision by next Thursday.
